Global Veterinary Careers is proud to be working with a highly respected multi-doctor small animal GP hospital in Northern Los Angeles, California, now seeking a progressive and motivated clinician to join their team. This opportunity is ideally suited to a mid-career veterinarian eager to expand their skills, explore new areas of medicine, and work in a supportive, rewarding environment. This is a full-time (or part-time) small animal GP role designed to offer clinical variety and professional growth.
Duties include:
Performing r outine consultations and comprehensive physical examinations Delivering preventative care programs, including vaccinations, wellness plans, nutrition, parasite control, and senior pet care Conducting and interpreting diagnostics, including digital radiology, ultrasound, laboratory testing, cytology, and advanced imaging Managing a wide range of internal medicine cases, from dermatology and gastrointestinal disorders to endocrinology and chronic disease management Performing general and advanced surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, soft tissue surgery, mass removals, wound management etc. Providing comprehensive dental care, including cleanings, digital dental radiographs, and surgical extractions Triage and stabilizing inpatients while collaborating with specialists for advanced care when needed Supporting and mentoring colleagues or recent graduates as part of the hospital's collaborative culture Maintaining detailed and accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with best practices Building and maintaining trusted client relationships through effective communication and compassionate care This role provides the unique opportunity to combine diverse GP cases, without primary care or overnight responsibilities.
