Join Our Team at Our New Emergency Veterinary Hospital! Candidate must have prior ER experience, 3 years minimum or Internship trained. Comfortable with all Emergency Surgical Procedures, we are willing to train you on Ultrasound & Endoscopy. About Us:
PetEmerg is a cutting-edge emergency hospital committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. Our state-of-the-art facility ensures that we can handle a wide range of medical emergencies and critical cases. We have 2 surgery suites, 2 isolation rooms, Endoscope, and Ultrasound.
Position Available:
Overnight Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) / 3 Shifts/week, priority will be given to candidates that can work Saturday & Sunday.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform thorough medical examinations and diagnostic procedures on emergency patients presenting during overnight hours. Utilize your strong diagnostic skills to assess and treat critical cases. Monitor and manage hospitalized patients to ensure optimal care and recovery. Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on patient status and discussing treatment plans. Collaborate closely with our veterinary team to deliver comprehensive and compassionate patient care. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records using Ezyvet and Smartflow systems (knowledge of these systems is a plus).
Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school. Active veterinary license in California. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, preferably with a focus on emergency and critical care. Strong diagnostic and medical skills, with the ability to make timely and informed decisions in emergency situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care. Willingness and availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays. Why Join Us?
