Associate Veterinarian (Part-Time, Temporary) - Maternity Leave Coverage

We're seeking a part-time associate veterinarian to provide maternity leave coverage (2-3 days/week) from late September 2026 through January/February 2027. We have an incredible, kind and friendly team and our six talented RVTs along with our vet assistants are ready to jump in and help. Our Client Service Reps are fantastic and extremely helpful too. We use several Fear Free techniques to make sure every patient's experience is the best it can be. We love having fun and goofy interactions with each other to help manage the challenges of veterinary medicine. We love to teach, mentor, and collaborate. Our focus is internal medicine, preventative medicine, urgent care, diagnostics, general surgery, dentistry, and nutrition. We have a board-certified cardiologist come to our clinic twice a month to evaluate cases. We also have an internal medicine specialist come once a month to do full abdominal ultrasounds. Our hospital has up-to-date diagnostic IDEXX in-house lab equipment and three times a day sample pick-up for IDEXX lab, DR radiology with radiologist specialist interpretation, ultrasound, and DR dental x-ray. • Shifts will be during weekdays, Monday-Thursday.
• Occasional Saturdays may be available/needed.
• The shifts are 8a - 5p or 9a - 6p.
• We have 2 and 3 doctor days during the week, so you'll be working with at least one other veterinarian. Saturdays are one doctor days.
• Appointment length: 30m per patient.
• Mid-day break: 90m block for lunch and catch-up.

Responsibilities:

Wellness and sick appointments with some occasional urgent care / drop-off cases as needed. Medical case management and diagnostics.

• No surgery or dentistry cases required - these are handled by our core DVM team.
• Preferred (but not required): ability to perform abscesses, lacerations, small growth removals, and foxtail removals.
• 2 technicians/assistants assigned per DVM.

AVImark and ScribbleVet.

• We have a complete in-house pharmacy and we partner with Vetcove.

Compensation:

• We're open to an independent contractor arrangement are we're willing to pay $1,100/shift.
• We're also open to making this a part-time temporary position.
• Prior to this start date, we prefer to arrange a few relief shifts to ensure a strong, mutual fit and a smooth transition.
