Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Locum Emergency Veterinarian to join our dynamic team at VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center. As a Relief Emergency Veterinarian, you will provide exceptional care to our patients during emergency situations. This role is perfect for a veterinarian looking for flexibility and the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment. VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center is a full-service AAHA-accredited veterinary facility offering compassionate, high-quality, and state-of-the-art medical care to residents in the greater Sacramento area. Our team is dedicated to delivering the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide emergency medical care to pets in urgent situations. Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to develop treatment plans. Collaborate with our team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's condition and treatment options. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
Qualifications:
DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school. Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in California. Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency veterinary medicine preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply. Strong diagnostic and clinical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits:
Competitive compensation: Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The relief rate ranges from $1300
  • 2500 per shift worked.
