Job Description

Healthy Pets Veterinary Hospital is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Associate Veterinarian to join our team in San Francisco. This is a part-time, on-site role with regular coverage needed on Mondays and Saturdays , with additional days available for candidates seeking expanded hours or a fuller schedule. Healthy Pets is a well-established small animal practice that combines conventional and integrative veterinary medicine in a supportive, client-focused environment. We are looking for a veterinarian who is passionate about high-quality patient care, strong client communication, and working closely with an experienced veterinary team. Responsibilities Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in dogs and cats Perform routine wellness exams and preventative care services Administer vaccinations and prescribe medications as needed Perform surgical procedures if comfortable doing so Communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans, preventative care, and overall pet wellness Maintain detailed and accurate medical records Collaborate with the veterinary and support staff to provide exceptional patient care Uphold a strong commitment to animal welfare and evidence-based veterinary medicine Qualifications D.V.M. or V.M.D. degree from an accredited institution Active California veterinary license in good standing Experience in small animal medicine preferred Surgery experience is welcomed but not required Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health conditions Strong preventative care skills, including wellness exams and vaccinations Excellent communication and client education abilities Ability to work effectively in a medium-paced clinical environment Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset Commitment to compassionate patient care and continuing professional development •Part-Time Veterinarians must work at least 7 days over two weeks to qualify for full time benefits.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
