Job Description

An established full-service veterinary hospital in Connecticut is seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative clinical team. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient examinations and medical evaluations. Develop diagnostic and treatment plans to support optimal patient outcomes. Perform surgical and dental procedures. Educate clients on preventative care, treatment options, and long-term health management. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records. Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols. Collaborate with veterinary, technical, and administrative staff to ensure efficient hospital operations. Participate in daily case discussions, protocol reviews, and hospital improvement initiatives. Support a positive, team-oriented culture focused on exceptional patient and client care. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution. Active veterinary state license. DEA registration or ability to obtain and maintain licensure. Minimum of one year of veterinary practice experience. Strong diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Commitment to compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine. Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment. Preferred Attributes Strong problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills. Interest in hospital operations and practice management. Commitment to continuing education and professional development. Ability to mentor, collaborate, and contribute to a positive workplace culture. Understanding of ethical principles and best practices in veterinary medicine. Compensation & Benefits This position offers a competitive compensation package with an annual salary range of $165,000-$185,000, along with additional earning potential and comprehensive benefits.
