Full Job Description Compensation:
Base salary + production incentives + up to $100,000 sign-on bonus + relocation assistance (if applicable) Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Fairfield, Connecticut. This is a full-time clinical role focused on high-quality, compassionate care for dogs and cats in a modern, fast-paced hospital environment. Our team values collaboration, clinical excellence, and continuous learning. You will work alongside experienced veterinarians and support staff using advanced diagnostics, surgical tools, and structured workflows to deliver outstanding patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and treat medical conditions in companion animals (dogs and cats) Perform soft-tissue surgeries and routine dental procedures (including extractions) Conduct wellness exams, vaccinations, and preventive care consultations Interpret diagnostic results and develop treatment plans Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnosis and treatment options Collaborate with hospital team members and referring veterinarians Maintain accurate medical records and uphold clinical standards Participate in continuing education and professional development Required Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution Eligible for or currently licensed as a Veterinarian in Connecticut (CT license required or obtainable) Ability to practice small animal medicine in a clinical hospital setting Strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to high-quality, patient-focused veterinary care New graduates considered; prior clinical experience preferred Preferred Experience 2+ years of small animal clinical practice (preferred) Experience in AAHA-accredited or high-volume veterinary hospital settings Internship or structured mentorship training Experience with surgery, dentistry, and preventive care workflows Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary + production incentives Sign-on bonus up to $100,000 Relocation assistance (if applicable) Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match (up to 4%) Paid time off (PTO) and work-life balance support Student loan repayment assistance Mental health and wellness resources Pet care benefits (discounted services, diagnostics, food, and pet insurance)
