  • Confidential Opportunity | South Florida A well-established small animal practice in South Florida (West Davie/ Southwest Ranches area) is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian as part of a confidential ownership transition.
This is a unique opportunity to join a respected hospital with a loyal client base—while stepping into a more balanced, sustainable way of practicing veterinary medicine.

  • Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnose health issues in a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and other small pets.
Perform medical procedures such as vaccinations, dental cleanings, wound management, and minor surgeries with precision and care. Assist in animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and treatments. Utilize veterinary terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and client instructions clearly. Administer treatments involving animal physiology and anatomy knowledge, including intravenous catheterization and aseptic techniques. Support pet owners with pet care advice, behavioral guidance, and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing health. Maintain detailed medical records, laboratory samples, and documentation following best practices for animal husbandry and veterinary standards.
  • Requirements Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in general practice procedures and client communication.
Critical care experience is highly desirable to handle urgent cases confidently. Demonstrated ability in animal restraint, handling diverse species including dogs and horses, with excellent animal husbandry skills. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and laboratory procedures to ensure accurate diagnostics and treatments. Experience with pet grooming techniques and laboratory work enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive care. Familiarity with aseptic techniques during surgical procedures or invasive diagnostics is essential. Ability to perform animal catheterization efficiently while maintaining patient comfort. Strong commitment to pet care standards combined with excellent animal handling skills for both small animals and equine patients if applicable.
