Duties Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess health status and diagnose conditions using veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy. Perform medical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and aseptic techniques to ensure safe and effective treatment. Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments tailored to each pet's needs, ensuring optimal animal care. Assist with laboratory testing and interpret results to support accurate diagnoses. Handle animals with care, demonstrating expertise in animal handling, pet grooming, and animal husbandry to reduce stress and improve outcomes. Provide emergency veterinary critical care when necessary, responding swiftly to urgent situations with professionalism and confidence. Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, grooming, and health maintenance to foster responsible ownership. Requirements Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy knowledge. Experience in veterinary critical care, laboratory procedures, or equine care is highly desirable. Skilled in animal restraint techniques, dog handling, and pet grooming to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Ability to perform animal catheterization and maintain aseptic techniques during procedures. Familiarity with laboratory testing processes related to veterinary medicine. Excellent animal handling skills combined with compassionate communication with pet owners. Valid veterinary license or certification as required by local regulations.
