at University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, United States Job Description Description The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Animal Resources Center (ARC), seeks full-time Clinical Veterinarians at any faculty rank on the School of Medicine Track. Appointees will share responsibilities of clinical care and oversight of multiple species; assist in the ARC training program, including the ACLAM-recognized veterinary residency training program; participate in IACUC protocol review, and provide investigator consultation and research support of research protocols. Other duties include mentoring and teaching trainees and students and pursuing scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited institution, 2) hold or be eligible for veterinary licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) have completed a laboratory animal medicine residency or training program.
