Small animal GP We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, along with the expertise to diagnose and treat a variety of animal health issues. This role requires strong communication skills, as you will interact with pet owners and provide guidance on animal care. You will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of animals while delivering exceptional veterinary services. Clinic offers both surgical and dental suites with DR dental xray, 5 exam rooms, comfort room, in house Idexx laboratory, new state of the art ultrasound, electronic medical records and 2:1 staff to doctor ratio. Duties Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status. Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health-related issues in various species. Administer vaccinations and medications as needed. Perform surgical procedures when necessary, ensuring the highest standards of care. Provide advice to pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, including treatment plans and follow-up care. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations. Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities. Experience Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school. Strong knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary terminology. Experience in animal handling and care, particularly with equine or other specific species preferred. Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to veterinary diagnostics is a plus. Previous experience in pet grooming or specialized pet care is beneficial but not required. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and educate them about their pets' health needs.
