Veterinarian

Animal Doctor Veterinary Group would like to add a full-time veterinarian to our practices. We currently have two busy locations: Animal Doctor Westside in Manhattan, KS, and Animal Doctor in Junction City, KS. Our Junction City location has been in business since 1998, and is only 20 minutes west of Manhattan by highway. It is a busy practice with a large case load (both surgical and medical). Our Westside location in Manhattan is Fear Free Accredited and manages those difficult behavioral cases as well. Animal Doctor in Junction City and Animal Doctor Westside are both full-service small animal hospitals (primarily cats and dogs) that provide high quality, individualized veterinary care. At both locations, we currently employ two full-time veterinarians. We provide routine and not so routine medical, surgical, and dental care in a compassionate atmosphere. We also often see second opinion appointments for chronic allergies, otitis, lameness, and surgical consults. Our Junction City location has 5 trained veterinary technicians and assistants and two customer service representatives that provide excellent support for our veterinary team. Our Westside location also has a strong support staff. Our Junction City and Westside facilities are equipped with: ultrasound, digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, and Zoetis in-house lab equipment (including two Imagyst AI microscopes, CBC, blood chemistry, and UA), all integrated to our EMR. Our Junction City location also has endoscopy and a surgical laser. There are computers in each exam room and in surgery. We use cloud-based Shepherd veterinary software. Duties would include, but not limited to, general and dental surgery, internal medicine cases, case management, preventative pet care, communication with clients, management of support staff, and rotating on call duties. The work schedule is four weekdays with one fixed day off per week, and rotating Saturdays, typically two per month. In addition to salary, we also provide $600 per month car and phone allowance, and we provide a production incentive for improved production from the same month the prior year.
