Laboratory Animal Resources Work Location Lexington, KY Salary Range $50-$75 per hour - based on experience Type of Position Temporary Position Time Status Full-Time Required Education DVM or equivalent Required Related Experience Required License/Registration/Certification DVM Physical Requirements Requires heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects over 30 pounds; animal handling (including carcasses); risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; exposure to temperature extremes, cuts/punctures, and bloodborne/airborne pathogens. Able to work in hot, wet areas and wear personal protective clothing. Shift 25-40 hours per week 1st shift (7:30a - 3:30p) Job Summary As a STEPS Clinicial Veterinarian, you will provide clinical care as directed for DLAR's veterinary operations.
Responsibilities may include:
Assigned area and emergency coverage Review Medical Reports and respond in a timely manner for needed intervention Work with the Senior clinical veterinarians and veterinary technicians to address emerging needs Ensure that investigators, animal care, and supervisor staff maintain appropriate standards for animal care and welfare consistent with standard veterinary practice Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
