Veterinarian technician Woodstock Animal Foundation - 5.0 Lexington, KY Job Details Part-time From $14 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Companion animal handling Customer communication Full Job Description Part-Time Veterinary Technician / Client Care Assistant We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and animal-focused team member to join our not for profit, low cost veterinary clinic as a Part-Time Veterinary Technician / Client Care Assistant .
Schedule:
Part-time — approximately 25 hours per week, 3 days a week
Position Overview:
This role is a combination of veterinary technician support and front office responsibilities. The ideal candidate enjoys working with animals and people, has strong communication skills, and is comfortable helping wherever needed to support our team and clients.
Responsibilities Include:
Safely handling and caring for animals during appointments and procedures Assisting the veterinarian and medical team as needed Preparing patients for exams and treatments Providing compassionate care to animals and their families Answering phones and assisting clients with questions Scheduling appointments Processing medication refill requests Helping with general front office duties during downtime
Qualifications:
Previous animal handling experience required Veterinary technician experience is a plus, but not required Willingness to learn and grow in a veterinary environment Strong customer service skills and a compassionate approach with both animals and people Ability to work as part of a team in a busy clinic setting We are looking for someone who has a genuine desire to help animals and the people who care for them.
