The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal health and welfare, complemented by comprehensive veterinary experience and a commitment to providing exceptional pet care. As an Associate Veterinarian, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical services, supporting pet owners, and ensuring the well-being of diverse animal patients. This role offers an engaging environment where professional growth and compassionate service are prioritized. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of animals, accurately diagnosing health issues using veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy. Perform medical procedures including animal restraint, animal catheterization, and aseptic techniques to ensure safe and effective treatment. Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments tailored to each patient's needs while maintaining detailed records of veterinary care provided. Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to laboratory protocols and maintaining sterile environments. Support pet owners with guidance on pet care, nutrition, grooming, and behavioral concerns, fostering strong client relationships. Handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and equine patients with expertise in animal handling and husbandry practices. Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment that complies with safety standards and promotes optimal animal care. Collaborate with team members on complex cases involving veterinary critical care experience or specialized knowledge in laboratory diagnostics or equine medicine. Requirements Veterinary degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven veterinary experience with a focus on animal care, including familiarity with veterinary terminology and animal physiology. Experience in animal restraint techniques, pet grooming, and general animal husbandry practices. Knowledge of laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary diagnostics and laboratory experience preferred. Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately across different species such as dogs, cats, and horses. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques necessary for surgical procedures and invasive treatments. Excellent communication skills for effectively educating pet owners and collaborating within a team environment. Additional skills such as equine experience or advanced critical care training are considered advantageous but are not mandatory.
