Since launching its flagship location in New York City in 2019, the company has rapidly expanded across the East Coast, establishing a strong presence in multiple major metropolitan markets with additional expansion already mapped out for the near future. Their model challenges the traditional veterinary experience by combining exceptional clinical standards with a seamless, consumer-first approach—offering 24/7 telemedicine access, transparent and predictable pricing, and beautifully designed, low-stress environments tailored to both pets and their owners. At its core, the organization is built to solve some of the biggest structural issues in veterinary medicine today—burnout, inconsistent quality of care, and lack of support for clinicians. By investing heavily in staffing ratios, operational infrastructure, and technology, they've created an environment where veterinarians can focus on practicing high-quality medicine without being overloaded or constrained by outdated systems. The result is a scalable, forward-thinking platform that delivers better outcomes for patients, a significantly improved experience for clients, and a sustainable, growth-oriented career path for veterinary professionals. This role sits at the center of that mission—a senior clinical leadership position responsible not only for delivering excellent medicine, but for shaping, developing, and leading a high-performing veterinary team within one of the organization's practices. You will take ownership of the clinical environment, ensuring that standards of care remain consistently high while also building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement among your team of doctors. This is not a purely administrative role—you will remain hands-on clinically, maintaining a structured and manageable caseload that allows you to stay sharp while still leading effectively. Beyond the day-to-day clinical responsibilities, you'll operate as a true partner to both regional leadership and operational teams, influencing everything from hiring strategy and team development to scheduling, service accessibility, and overall practice performance. You'll play a key role in aligning medical operations with business objectives, ensuring the practice runs efficiently while never compromising on quality or client experience. This is a high-visibility, high-impact position designed for someone who wants to lead from the front, build strong teams, and directly contribute to the continued growth and evolution of a modern veterinary platform. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 1-5 veterinarians, driving engagement, accountability, and clinical excellence Diagnose and treat pets while maintaining a manageable caseload (max ~16 appointments per day) Serve as the primary clinical authority for escalations, complex cases, and medical decision-making Partner with regional leadership and talent teams to recruit, onboard, and retain top veterinary talent Collaborate with operations on scheduling and coverage to meet patient demand and maintain access to care Maintain and elevate standards across surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and overall medical protocols Ensure full compliance with DEA, OSHA, and all regulatory requirements, including controlled substance management Monitor and drive key performance metrics including client satisfaction, medical quality, record keeping, and production Work closely with Practice Management and Nursing Leadership to foster strong cross-functional alignment Support a culture of continuous learning, open communication, and professional development Own and influence financial performance of the practice, partnering with leadership to hit revenue and budget targets Uphold a high-touch, hospitality-driven client experience in every interaction Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent with active license and DEA registration 5+ years of clinical experience, with leadership or mentorship experience strongly preferred Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop veterinary professionals Strong clinical judgment with commitment to high standards of care and ethics Clear, confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills Comfort operating in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Demonstrated ability to drive performance, lead change, and influence team culture Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with resilience and leadership presence Compensation Base salary: $180,000 - $225,000 15-20% performance bonus potential Profit-sharing opportunities Equity participation potential Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match 4 weeks

weeks fully paid parental leave No non-compete agreements Commuter benefits + monthly wellness stipend Covered licensing, liability insurance, and professional memberships/subscriptions Discounted veterinary care Clear path for upward mobility within a rapidly scaling organization This is a high-impact leadership role inside a company that's actually fixing the biggest problems in veterinary medicine—burnout, inefficiency, and lack of support—and replacing them with structure, support, and real opportunity.Similar jobs in Cambridge, MA
