What we •do• have is a brand-new, shiny, urgent care clinic that's already overflowing with patients, a team that's learning and growing together, and a culture built on strength, compassion, and trust. About Us Atlas Veterinary Urgent Care just opened on September 8th, 2025, and Augusta, ME showed up in a big way! We're still working out the kinks (ie. daily chaos), but in the middle of it all is a team that shows up for each other with respect, laughter, some sass, a few F-bombs, and plenty of snacks. Who We're Looking For An urgent care/ER-style veterinarian who is: Open-minded, adaptable, and flexible, and authentic Goes with the flow of the day, and tackles the intensity of Urgent/ER medicine Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and select holidays Excited to grow with us as a team

Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree from an accredited university Maine veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start) DEA license (or eligibility to obtain) Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in urgent care/emergency medicine Ability to work confidently and compassionately in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Availability for evenings, weekends, and select holidays Job Duties Provide urgent and emergency medical care, including diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of cases Perform surgical procedures such as laceration repairs, foreign body removals, splenectomies, enterotomies, GDVs, and other soft tissue surgeries as experience allows Triage and stabilize critical patients for transfer to a primary emergency hospital if extended care is needed Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care Collaborate with technicians, assistants, and support staff to provide high-quality patient care Maintain accurate and thorough medical records Participate in shaping clinic culture, workflows, and protocols as part of a growing hospital team
