Full Job Description Overview:

CareVet's Full-Time Traveling DVM role is built for experienced veterinarians who want the financial security of a salaried position and the variety that comes from practicing across multiple high-performing hospitals. You'll earn a competitive salary, travel on CareVet's dime, and practice medicine your way — without being anchored to one location. Compensation (full time) $200,000- 275,000 annually (based on schedule and structure) $275,000 at full-time 40 hrs/week | $135/hr without benefits $100/hr with full benefits package No production percentage requirement No negative accrual — ever No upfront non-compete Benefits Package Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Company-paid short-term disability and life insurance Paid parental leave and adoption assistance $2,500 annual CE stipend + paid CE time Professional dues and state license fees covered Carebnb — free access to CareVet's vacation properties Flight, hotel, and meals covered for all travel assignments Employee Assistance Program with on-staff licensed social worker High-performing, community-rooted practices with experienced teams and industry-leading diagnostics.
Responsibilities:
Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems Treat and dress wounds Perform surgery on animals Test for and vaccinate against diseases Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments Prescribe medication Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality careQualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal Strong fondness and understanding of animals Good communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of animal behavior Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals How to Apply To learn more about positions available, please contact Kelly at directly by clicking the button below.
