Job Overview Seeking an Associate Veterinarian, where your passion for animal health and well-being will make a meaningful difference for a growing privately-owned practice in the beautiful Ozark region of Missouri . A full-service small animal veterinary clinic with a new state-of the art facility, NO WEEKENDS or after-hour
EMERGENCY HOURS.
New grads welcome-available Student Loan Repayment Program. Monday-Friday 8:30-5. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnose various medical conditions in animals, utilizing veterinary terminology and understanding of animal physiology and anatomy. Perform surgical procedures, including animal restraint, animal catheterization, and aseptic techniques to ensure safe and effective treatments. Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments tailored to each animal's needs, emphasizing animal care and pet grooming standards. Assist with laboratory tests and interpret results to support accurate diagnoses; maintain meticulous records of all procedures performed. Educate pet owners on pet care, nutrition, behavior, and preventive health measures to promote responsible ownership. Requirements Veterinary degree from an accredited institution; DVM/VMD Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and pet grooming techniques to ensure comprehensive patient care. Excellent communication skills for working with pet owners, team members, and specialists; proactive approach to ongoing learning in veterinary medicine. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift animals safely, and perform detailed technical tasks throughout the day.
