Job Description
Eureka Family Pet Hospital is the newest, single doctor, veterinary practice in Eureka, MO. Advanced in-house technology includes in
- house IDEXX lab, DR digital x-ray, ultrasound, digital dental x-ray, advanced anesthesia monitors, and more.
NO SATURDAYS, SUNDAY, OR EVENING HOURS.
The exception is paid presence at community events to promote the business, expected less than 3 times per year. Our schedules are consistent and get people out on time! Position Part-Time and/or Full-Time DVM Ideal Candidate Licensure in the state of Missouri 1+ years' experience in a veterinary practice Sense of humor Make decisions confidently and effectively Willingness to help in all aspects of a busy hospital Be friendly, reliable, relatable, compassionate, and positive. Willingness to question everything and admit mistakes Be focused, driven, efficient, detail oriented, and forward thinking. Be energetic, professional, and courteous with excellent communication skills. Compensation & Benefits Wage commensurate with experience and licensure (ie: we pay what you're worth, not what you'll accept) Discounted pet services Health insurance stipend Matching simple IRA retirement Family-friendly employer Duties and Skills You know the drill....- Provide medical care and treatment to a variety of animals, including companion animals and exotics.
- Conduct physical examinations and diagnose illnesses or injuries in animals.
- Administer vaccinations and medications to prevent and treat diseases in animals.
- Conduct laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosing animal health issues.
- Provide occasional emergency care to injured or critically ill animals.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
- Proficient in pet care techniques, including handling and restraint.
- Knowledgeable in veterinary critical care procedures and protocols.
- Familiarity with practice management software for managing client information.
- Skilled in laboratory procedures, including sample collection and analysis.
- Knowledgeable in animal husbandry practices for maintaining optimal health and well-being.
- Strong understanding of animal care principles and practices.
- In-depth knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy.
