Full-time A Little About Us Pet Emergency Center is a locally owned, 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital serving Missoula and the surrounding valleys. Since 2003, our team has provided compassionate emergency and critical care for cats and dogs when their regular veterinary clinics are closed. Our hospital is dedicated to high-quality medicine, collaborative teamwork, and providing exceptional care for pets and their people during urgent situations. We pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive, respectful workplace where veterinarians and staff work together to deliver the best possible outcomes. Located in the beautiful mountain community of Missoula, our hospital offers easy access to outdoor recreation, including hiking, skiing, rivers, and national forests, along with a vibrant downtown filled with local restaurants, breweries, and cultural events. You'll Never Practice Alone At Pet Emergency Center, our emergency veterinarians work closely with a highly trained support team. Collaboration is central to how we practice medicine, ensuring doctors always have the resources they need to provide excellent care. You'll be supported by: Experienced emergency veterinarians Skilled veterinary technicians and assistants Dedicated client service representatives A team-focused culture that encourages questions, mentorship, and shared case management The Facility & Medicine Our modern emergency hospital is designed to support a wide variety of urgent and critical cases. Our facility includes advanced diagnostics and treatment tools that allow us to provide comprehensive emergency care.
You can expect:
A busy and diverse emergency caseload In-house diagnostic laboratory Digital radiology and ultrasound Surgical suites with full patient monitoring Oxygen therapy and critical care capabilities Blood transfusion services and endoscopy Strong technician utilization and support Our hospital focuses on efficient workflows and collaborative patient care to ensure the best outcomes for pets and their families. Scheduling & Work-Life Balance Emergency medicine can be demanding, and we believe schedules should support long-term career sustainability.
