Job Description

Join a well-established small animal veterinary practice in the Greensboro, NC, as an Associate Veterinarian.
Job Description:
Are you looking for a role where you can practice high-quality medicine with genuine clinical freedom, while still having experienced colleagues around you for support, collaboration, and case discussion? I'm working with a long-established, highly regarded small animal hospital in Greensboro that is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its growing team. This is a busy, full-service general practice with a strong local reputation, an excellent client base, and the scale and infrastructure to support confident, progressive medicine. The hospital offers comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care, alongside additional services such as behavioral consultations, laser therapy, grooming, and boarding. The team is well set up from both a clinical and operational perspective, with modern diagnostic and treatment tools including digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, an in-house IDEXX lab, slit lamp, Tono-Pen, advanced anesthesia monitoring, electrocautery, laser, and computers in every exam room. You'd be joining a collaborative multi-doctor environment led by an experienced Medical Director who co-opened the hospital in 2000, alongside a team of veterinarians with backgrounds spanning general practice, emergency, surgery, dentistry, feline medicine, internal medicine, ophthalmology, preventive care, and internship training. There is meaningful day-to-day support here, with multiple doctors on site, a large RVT and assistant team, and the kind of collegial atmosphere where people genuinely help one another with cases, surgery, imaging, and decision-making. It's also a strong setting for newer graduates, with structured mentorship support available. This opportunity would suit a veterinarian who enjoys the variety of general practice, values strong technician support, and wants the freedom to develop their own style of medicine without feeling professionally isolated. Whether you're already comfortable in GP or you're looking for a hospital where you can continue building confidence in surgery and dentistry, this team offers the right balance of autonomy, collaboration, and development.
