Emergency Veterinarian

Pet Emergency and Trauma Services (PETS) is an independently-owned, 24 hour- emergency veterinary hospital located in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Serving a wide-ranging diverse demographic base from Cabarrus and surrounding counties requires a collaborative relationship with our area daytime general practitioners as well as with nearby referral and specialty centers. We are looking for someone who practices high qualitymedicine and understands how to work within a tight budget when necessary. We recently moved into a new 7,000+ sq. ft building, and we are fully outfitted to provide great medicine with a full suite of in-house Idexx laboratory equipment, Sound digital X-ray system, GE Versana Active ultrasound, Engler ventilator and more!

Job Description:

Practice emergency veterinary medicine confidently and independently Manage hospitalized patients collaboratively Develop and communicate diagnostic and treatment plans for both outpatient and inpatient care Perform emergency soft tissue surgery including abdominal exploratory, splenectomy, gastropexy, Cesarean section and wound care Maintain excellent medical records to share with referring veterinarians to ensure continuity of care Regular rotating schedule between doctors. Current opening has flexibility for preference of daytime, swing, or overnight shifts What we offer: A well and regularly stocked breakroom with coffee, soda, and snacks!
