Job Description

Company DescriptionSmall Animal Emergency Services in Vass, NC seeks an experienced, compassionate Emergency Veterinarian to join our tight-knit team. You will provide high-quality emergency and urgent care for dogs and cats, lead case triage, perform emergency procedures, and collaborate with experienced technicians to deliver excellent client communication and patient outcomes. New grads with strong emergency skills and confidence in decision-making are also welcome to apply.

Job DescriptionWhat you'll doProvide emergency and urgent medical/surgical care for small animal patients.

Triage and stabilize critical patients; perform emergency surgeries and diagnostics.

Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about status, prognosis, and treatment options.

Work collaboratively with technicians and support staff; mentor colleagues as needed.

Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols and standards.

QualificationsDVM/VMD from an accredited veterinary school.

Current NC veterinary license (or ability to obtain licensure).Emergency medicine experience preferred; motivated new graduates with emergency skillset considered.

Strong procedural skills (intubation, venipuncture, urinary catheterization, basic emergency surgery).Excellent communication, teamwork, and client-service orientation.

Ability to work variable shifts including nights and weekends.
