Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mobile Veterinarian to join our dedicated team, specializing in end-of-life care and at-home euthanasia services. This role requires a profound dedication to providing empathetic, patient-centered care to pets during their final days, all within the comfort of the family's home. As a Mobile Veterinarian, you will work closely with pet owners, providing support and guidance, ensuring a dignified and peaceful farewell to their beloved pets. This position demands a high level of compassion, medical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners in their time of need. Travel to clients' homes to provide end-of-life care and euthanasia. Communicate with pet owners, offering empathetic support and clear explanations of care procedures. Administer medications, perform euthanasia, and manage pain relief in a humane and ethical manner. Maintain patient records and communicate with the central office about each case. Support pet owners in making informed decisions regarding their pets' health and well-being. Follow all legal and ethical guidelines for veterinary care and euthanasia. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle emotional situations with compassion and professionalism Deep understanding of veterinary medicine, especially in palliative and end-of-life care Proficiency in managing medical emergencies and administering medications Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid state veterinary license DEA registration for controlled substances (if applicable) Certification in euthanasia administration preferred
