Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose medical conditions in animals, utilizing veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy. Perform surgical procedures, including animal restraint, animal catheterization, and aseptic techniques to ensure safe and effective treatments. Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments while maintaining detailed records of animal care activities. Assist with laboratory tests and interpret results to support accurate diagnoses. Handle animals safely using animal handling techniques, including dog handling and general animal husbandry practices. Provide pet grooming, pet care advice, and education to pet owners to promote ongoing health and wellness. Support critical care cases by applying veterinary critical care experience, ensuring prompt response to emergencies with appropriate interventions. Qualifications Proven veterinary experience with a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy. Demonstrated expertise in animal restraint, animal handling, and pet grooming techniques. Experience in veterinary critical care settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of laboratory procedures and familiarity with aseptic techniques for surgical or diagnostic purposes. Ability to work effectively with various species, including dogs and horses (equine experience preferred). Excellent communication skills for explaining treatment plans clearly to pet owners. Certification or licensure as required by local regulations for practicing veterinarians.
