Associate Veterinarian Responsibilities As an Associate Veterinarian (DVM/VMD), you will work closely with our veterinary team to provide high-quality medical care, client communication, diagnostics, surgery, and patient management.
Daily responsibilities include:
Performing wellness examinations and preventive care Diagnosing and treating sick or injured animals Developing treatment plans and medical recommendations Performing routine surgeries and dental procedures Interpreting diagnostic imaging and laboratory results Managing hospitalized and surgical patients Educating clients on treatment options, wellness care, and preventive medicine Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records Collaborating with Licensed Veterinary Technicians and hospital team members Supporting hospital growth, workflow, and patient care standards What We're Looking For Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school Active New York veterinary license or eligibility for licensure Strong communication and teamwork skills Compassionate, dependable, and client-focused approach Comfortable with routine surgery and dentistry preferred Strong medical decision-making and problem-solving abilities Interest in continued learning and professional growth New graduates are encouraged to apply — mentorship available Schedule & Work-Life Balance Full-time or part-time opportunities available Flexible scheduling options 8-hour or 10-hour shift options Monday-Friday scheduling Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive Compensation Package Compensation is based on experience, scheduling, production, and qualifications.
