Job Description

Overview We are an AAHA accredited practice looking to employ a calm, compassionate and experienced Associate Veterinarian. We are a fast-paced practice with an excellent support staff of Registered veterinary technicians and assistants. We use our technicians to the fullest extent of their capabilities to ensure good workflow. The Associate Veterinarian's responsibilities include client education, administering vaccinations, diagnosing and treating pets, and performing routine and urgent surgeries. A positive, calm attitude is a must. Routine schedule is 8am-5pm 4 days per week and 8am-12pm 1 or 2 Saturdays per month. No emergencies. 3 weeks paid vacation plus sick time. We are looking for a veterinarian with interest in partnership within 5 years. Full in house lab with Idexx equipment (Procyte, Catalyst, Sedivue). Digital x-ray, hand-held digital dental x-ray, Ultrasound, Mobile veterinary dental unit with high speed drill and Ligasure cautery unit for surgery. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of small animals, including dogs and cats, to assess health status and identify medical conditions Perform veterinary procedures such as vaccinations, dental cleanings, wound management, and surgeries with precision and care Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical procedures and invasive diagnostics to prevent infections Assist with laboratory testing, sample collection, and analysis to support accurate diagnoses Provide education on pet care, nutrition, grooming, and husbandry practices to pet owners for ongoing health maintenance Demonstrate proficiency in animal anatomy knowledge and animal handling skills Qualifications Veterinary degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure or eligibility to practice veterinary medicine in the relevant region Proven veterinary experience with small animals Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy knowledge, and laboratory procedures Surgical experience not required, but beneficial Willing to adjust treatment plans based on financial feasibility Salary commensurate with experience Join us to make a difference in the lives of pets and their families!
