Kenton and Cathedral Animal Hospitals are seeking an associate veterinarian to join our collaborative doctor team. We are two independently women-owned companion animal practices located in Portland's vibrant Kenton and St. Johns neighborhoods. Community involvement is at the heart of what we do, and we take pride in supporting local organizations and events including the Portland Animal Welfare (PAW) Team, PrideVMC, PVMA, OVTAA, and more. As an integrative practice , we offer a multi-modal and individualized approach to each patient through traditionally familiar Western medicine, as well as other modalities which includes TVCM, acupuncture, laser therapy, herbal medicine and massage therapy . We also offer digital radiography, in-house labs, and an elevated standard of care for surgery, dentistry, and anesthetic procedures . We strive to provide the best individualized care for our patients in a peaceful and calm environment. Experience in integrative medicine is not required, but a desire to learn about it is a must. We practice Fear-Free techniques and take each patient's physical and emotional well being into account for each visit. Kenton Animal Hospital (2016) and Cathedral Animal Hospital (2019) were established to promote a positive workplace that prioritizes work-life balance and employee happiness. We're closed on weekends, with 40-minute appointments, an almost 2 hour break (around lunch) in the day, two assistants per doctor for rooms, CVTs for surgery/dentistry, maintain a four-day work week, and understand that the client isn't always right. Our carefully and thoughtfully chosen team is compassionate, authentic, efficient, and brings a sense of humor to our work. We encourage learning, and want you to practice the full spectrum of care that educates our clients and provide quality medicine.
