Job Description

Job Overview West Greenwich Animal Hospital (WGAH) seeks a highly skilled, detail-oriented, positive team player to work with our family-focused veterinary medical team. Emotional intelligence is a must when working with our clients and patients. We have eight (8) doctors, four (4) Certified Veterinary Technicians, and twenty-eight (28) additional support staff on our team. Established in 1995, our facility provides high-quality medicine while keeping practicality in sight to deliver the most fitting options to every individual client. WGAH is a full-service hospital nestled in a comfortable country setting in the rural Town of West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Our practice has been independently owned since opening its doors in September 1995. Our mission is to provide exceptional, compassionate care for pets that focuses on preventive medicine, early diagnosis, and personalized treatment plans for our local community and beyond. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join our close-knit, team-oriented, collaborative environment. Responsibilities As an Associate Veterinarian, you will: Perform small animal medical, dental, and surgical procedures with a focus on high-quality patient care Have the opportunity to collaborate with the existing veterinary team on medical and surgical protocols to ensure consistent, patient, and client care Conduct comprehensive wellness exams, diagnose and treat a variety of complex small animal cases Build and maintain strong, trusting client relationships through effective communication and education Maintain accurate and thorough medical records using AI scribe technology Assist in setting an example for all staff in expert patient care and client service Work a full-time schedule, which will require some evening and Saturday hours to meet our clients' needs Experience Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university Current Rhode Island veterinary license or the ability to obtain one Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred Strong Communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle urgent medical situations calmly and effectively
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
