Company DescriptionWho we are
Lowcountry Vets is a dedicated small-animal practice that values genuine compassion and outstanding customer service. Whether for your client's new puppy or kitten, or their aging beloved companion, we're committed to guiding them on the clearest path to health and wellness. Our services span routine exams, immunizations, dentistry, wellness plans, in-home appointments, holistic medicine, and even telemedicine. Why join usBe part of a team that emphasizes preventative care and early detection — helping pets live their healthiest possible lives. Work in a scenic, community-focused Lowcountry environment, where clients and pets are treated with respect, kindness, and individualized care.
Opportunity to provide diverse services: wellness plans (puppy/kitten, junior, senior), in-home and telemedicine consults, holistic medicine and conventional care.
A clinic that values the human-animal bond, and the experience of making veterinary care a positive memory for clients and their pets.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will be motivated to deliver high-quality, patient-centered veterinary medicine, comfortable with both routine and preventive care, and interested in embracing a broad scope of services.
ResponsibilitiesPerform physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatments for dogs and cats.
Develop and implement wellness plans for all life stages — puppy/kitten, adult, senior.
Provide preventive care, immunizations, dentistry, and routine procedures.
Conduct in-home visits and telemedicine consults as part of our holistic and client-friendly service offerings.
Educate clients on health, nutrition, preventive medicine, and long-term wellness strategies.
Collaborate with the team to maintain high standards of patient care and client service.
Maintain accurate medical records, follow up on diagnostics, and support practice growth through excellent client relationships.
Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice in South Carolina.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to explain medical concepts clearly to clients.
Comfort with preventive medicine and wellness-plan oriented practice; interest in holistic medicine is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic practice setting.
Compassion, patience, and a genuine love for animals and client education.
