Job Description

Overview OnPoint Animal Hospital opened in 2013. From the start, our goal was to open family-owned veterinary hospitals that could focus on pets and their owners; we love making friends, not clients. We proudly offer premier veterinary services from our North Myrtle Beach practice, Surfside Beach practice, and our newest Wellness Clinic in Murrells Inlet—three convenient locations to serve all of Horry County, South Carolina. We believe in quality medicine with a caring heart. Our practices utilize the latest diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical techniques while employing state-of-the-art veterinary equipment. Unlike other veterinary hospitals, we strive to stay at the forefront of medicine. To continue to offer cutting-edge animal medicine and services, we are looking for an experienced veterinarian to join our fantastic team. Duties
  • Perform medical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and provide treatment for a variety of animals
  • Perform surgeries, including spaying and neutering, tumor removals, and dental procedures.
  • Administer vaccinations and medications to prevent and treat diseases
  • Conduct laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosis
  • Provide emergency care and stabilize critically ill or injured animals
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with legal requirements Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
  • Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state
  • Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and diseases
  • Proficiency in veterinary critical care, and aseptic technique
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and staff members
  • Ability to work well under pressure in emergency situations
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology and medical equipment
