Summerfields Animal Hospital is a privately owned, AAHA-accredited hospital that has served the North Fort Worth community for more than 20 years. We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our multi-doctor team as we continue to grow. Your Schedule, Your Choice We recognize that veterinarians are looking for flexibility, and we believe one schedule does not fit everyone. Choose either a 3-day or 4-day work week. On Any Given Day, Our Doctors May:

Perform a laparoscopic procedure Review CT images Scope a foreign body with endoscopy Work up a complex internal medicine case Manage a breeding case Perform advanced dentistry See a rabbit with GI stasis Assist with an orthopedic procedure Evaluate an exotic pet If that sounds more interesting than another routine day in general practice, we'd love to talk. Our doctors have access to in hospital: CT Imaging Endoscopy Fluoroscopy Laparoscopic Surgery Digital Radiology Digital Dental Radiology Ultrasound In-House Laboratory Oxygen Therapy Therapeutic Laser Underwater Treadmill Therapy Advanced Anesthesia Monitoring Electrosurgery Surgical Laser Cryosurgery Advanced Surgical Opportunities For veterinarians who enjoy surgery, Summerfields offers opportunities to participate in a wide variety of procedures, including: Laparoscopic procedures TPLOs, CWO, Extracapsular ACL repairs Fracture repair Orthopedic procedures Thoracic and Abdominal Procedures Complex mass removals Oncologic surgery Advanced dentistry and oral surgery Soft tissue surgery Reproductive procedures Emergency surgical cases Every veterinarian receives a dedicated surgical block once a week (more if you'd like) while still maintaining the variety and continuity of general practice medicine. Exotics & Reproduction Most general practices see dogs and cats. We do too. But we also maintain active services in two areas that are increasingly difficult to find in private practice. Exotic Animal Medicine Our doctors routinely see: Rabbits Guinea pigs Ferrets Reptiles Backyard poultry Waterfowl Other companion exotics Pocket Pets Fish Whether exotics are already a passion or simply an area you'd like to explore, you'll have opportunities to build your skills and confidence. Reproductive Medicine Our reproductive services include: In house Progesterone testing Breeding management Artificial insemination Semen evaluation Semen freezing Fertility evaluations Pregnancy diagnosis Reproductive consultations For veterinarians interested in reproduction, Summerfields offers a level of hands-on experience rarely found in traditional general practice.
