Job Description:
I'm working with a well-regarded small animal hospital in Richmond that is looking to welcome a full-time Veterinarian to its team. This is an opportunity to join a modern, community-focused practice that has built a strong local reputation for compassionate, transparent care and a genuinely low-stress client and patient experience. The hospital offers a broad GP caseload with medical, surgical, dental, and urgent care services, giving you plenty of variety while still maintaining a schedule that respects your time. The practice is open Monday to Thursday, with no on-call and no late-night expectations, making this a particularly attractive role for a veterinarian seeking both clinical fulfillment and consistency in their week. The team culture here is one of the biggest selling points. You'd be joining a supportive environment where compassion, collaboration, and communication are central to how the hospital operates. There is strong doctor support, an excellent staff-to-doctor ratio, and a team that is committed to delivering a high standard of care without sacrificing kindness or efficiency. The hospital is led by an experienced Medical Director with nearly 20 years of clinical experience and long-standing ties to the Richmond veterinary community, which should appeal to both experienced veterinarians and those who would value mentorship and steady clinical support. The hospital also places a real emphasis on creating a calm, welcoming setting for pets and owners, including stress-reducing appointment options and a thoughtful client experience. From a clinical standpoint, this is a full-service small animal role where you'll be able to practice quality medicine across routine wellness, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, hospitalized care, and urgent cases. The hospital promotes state-of-the-art care and has earned positive feedback from clients not only for its medical standards, but also for the responsiveness and empathy of its doctors, technicians, and client care team. Backed by a wider partnership platform, the practice can also offer additional operational, marketing, and financial support behind the scenes, allowing its veterinarians to stay focused on patient care while still having longer-term growth and partnership opportunities available. Compensation includes a base salary of $120,000-$150,000 plus production, a generous sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
