Our hospital offers a collaborative, team-based environment supported by: An onsite ER/Critical Care Specialist and Internal Medicine Specialist Radiology services (Monday-Saturday) through Inland Empire Veterinary Imaging Surgical services (Monday-Thursday) via Veterinary Surgical Specialists A highly skilled team of Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs), veterinary assistants, and client care professionals Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, driven Emergency Veterinarian to join our fast-paced, high-performing team. In this critical role, you will provide advanced emergency and critical care to canine and feline patients while delivering exceptional client communication. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, maintains a positive and resilient mindset, and enjoys working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver immediate and high-quality emergency and critical care to patients with urgent medical needs Perform thorough examinations, diagnostics, and develop effective treatment plans across a wide range of cases Partner closely with technicians and support staff to ensure efficient, comprehensive patient care Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and aftercare Contribute to team workflow and resource allocation to optimize patient outcomes and efficiency Mentor and support staff development through training and guidance Maintain accurate, compliant medical records and documentation Collaborate with specialists to manage complex cases and provide integrated care Foster a positive, team-focused culture that supports morale and collaboration Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited institution Active Washington State veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain) Emergency medicine experience preferred Strong diagnostic and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced setting Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective under pressure Commitment to continued education, growth, and mentorship Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays What We Offer Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package, including: DVM Production paid monthly Medical and dental insurance Liability coverage Licensing and professional fee reimbursement Continuing education (CE) allowance 401(k) plan Ongoing training and professional development opportunities A supportive environment that values work-life balance A collaborative, team-oriented culture A prime location in Spokane, WA — offering year-round outdoor recreation (skiing, hiking, biking), vibrant dining, and a rich arts scene Join Our Team If you are passionate about emergency veterinary medicine and want to make a meaningful impact on pets and their families, we encourage you to apply.
