Veterinarian (DVM/VDM) - Full-Time or Part-Time EAH is a privately-owned currently single-doctor practice in Vancouver, Washington. As of September 2025, we are also under new ownership and looking to grow in all the right ways! While we have retained most of our fantastic and loyal clients of the past, we've also released the flood-gates and begun accepting new clients for the first time in years. We have been blessed to be able to maintain a very busy schedule and, as a result, we need to grow our team! We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and professional Veterinarian to join the EAH family. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and veterinary medicine, with the ability to provide high-quality, diagnostic-driven, modern medical services to both canines and felines. While we are currently a Small Animal General Practice, we would welcome your experience with Exotics if that interests you . If it does not, we won't hold it against you. We don't mind remaining focused on small animals. The new owners have invested heavily in modernizing their hospital, and will continue to do so in order to provide the level of care our patients deserve! New Samsung V5 digital ultrasound New DR50 digital radiograph New IDEXX suite of in-house lab machines. Separate dental suite equipped with wet tables and digital x-ray. IDEXX WebPacs Currently migrating practice management software to AVImark.
Your Duties & Abilities:
Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose health conditions in animals. Candidates should possess the ability to employ proper veterinary terminology and the knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy. Perform medical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and aseptic techniques during surgeries or treatments. Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments tailored to individual animals' needs. Assist with laboratory tests and interpret results to inform treatment plans. The ability to provide emergency critical care for patients requiring urgent attention. Educate pet owners on animal husbandry, pet care, nutrition, and health maintenance. The ability and knowledge to safely handle/treat aggressive canines and fractious felines with appropriate animal handling skills. Maintain detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with veterinary standards and safety protocols. Support the team in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment.
Your Qualifications:
Veterinary degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Washington State. Proven veterinary experience with emphasis on critical care, animal restraint, and surgical procedures. Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology. Experience in animal husbandry, laboratory procedures, and aseptic techniques is preferred. Skills in dog and cat handling, pet care advice, and animal catheterization are highly desirable. The ability to work effectively under pressure and in emergency situations. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration.
