Job Description
Position Summary The Hearth and Home Partner plays a vital role in supporting the small home model by creating a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming household environment for residents. This position prioritizes the cleanliness and upkeep of resident rooms, bathrooms, laundry, and shared living spaces while also supporting daily household routines and meaningful resident engagement. The Comfort Specialist helps promote dignity, comfort, independence, and quality of life by maintaining a warm, homelike atmosphere and assisting with activities and resident-centered interactions throughout the day. Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of resident rooms, bathrooms, laundry areas, and common household spaces Complete daily housekeeping tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, linen changes, and restocking supplies Support household laundry operations including washing, drying, folding, labeling, and distributing resident clothing and linens Assist in creating a comfortable, welcoming, and homelike environment through attention to detail and resident preferences Engage positively and respectfully with residents during daily routines, activities, and household interactions Encourage and support resident participation in activities, household routines, and social engagement as appropriate Observe and report changes in resident condition, mood, behavior, or environmental concerns to nursing staff Work collaboratively with the care team to support smooth household operations and resident-centered care Respect resident dignity, privacy, choices, and independence at all times Assist with light activity setup, organization, and resident participation support as needed Role Expectations Prioritize cleanliness, infection prevention, organization, and resident comfort throughout the household Maintain resident rooms and shared spaces to reflect a calm, safe, and inviting home environment Build positive relationships with residents through daily interaction and familiarity with routines and preferences Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, families, and team members Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork in supporting household needs and resident quality of life Support a respectful, compassionate, and hospitality-focused culture within the home
