Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating and Air Conditioning Technician, where your expertise will keep environments comfortable and systems running smoothly. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, install, and maintain a wide range of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical components. Your technical skills and proactive approach will ensure optimal performance of heating and cooling systems across various properties. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify issues accurately. Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, plumbing, and appliance systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Conduct system inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes; recommend upgrades or replacements as needed. Read and interpret schematics and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations or repairs efficiently. Utilize field service experience to respond promptly to service calls; communicate clearly with clients about system issues and solutions. Repair or replace mechanical components such as motors, compressors, valves, welders, boilers, and other equipment using appropriate tools and techniques. Maintain detailed service records, logs of work performed, parts used, and system conditions for accountability and future reference. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and HVAC design plans for accurate troubleshooting and installation. Hands-on experience with plumbing systems, ammonia refrigeration (Ammonia refrigeration), appliance repair, boiler operation, welding techniques, and equipment repair. Familiarity with field service operations including property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively; experience with equipment repair is essential. Knowledge of safety protocols related to HVAC/R work environments; valid driver's license with driver endorsement preferred. Mechanical aptitude combined with construction background or mechanic experience enhances problem-solving capabilities in complex systems.
