Heating Oil Driver

Overview We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Heating Oil Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering heating oil to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-service oriented, and experienced in operating fuel delivery trucks or similar commercial vehicles. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a heating oil delivery truck in compliance with company policies and DOT regulations. Load, transport, and deliver heating oil to customer locations on assigned routes. Accurately measure and record fuel deliveries using meters and handheld systems. Provide exceptional customer service, including answering basic customer questions and ensuring a professional on-site experience. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Maintain accurate delivery logs, invoices, and required documentation. Follow all environmental and safety protocols for handling petroleum products. Assist with general yard duties or snow removal during off-route times, as needed. Work in varying weather conditions and lift up to [X] pounds as required. Qualifications Valid CDL Class B (Class A preferred) with HazMat and Tanker endorsements. Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening. Previous experience delivering heating oil, propane, fuel, or similar products is a plus. Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow procedures. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts during peak heating season. Physical Requirements Ability to climb in/out of truck cab, lift hoses, and maneuver delivery equipment. Ability to walk, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods during deliveries. Comfortable working outdoors in cold weather conditions.
