In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and system reliability. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service that keeps our clients comfortable year-round. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as pipe installation, leak detection, and drainage troubleshooting. Utilize diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and other testing devices to identify electrical or mechanical faults within HVAC/R equipment. Repair or replace components such as compressors, fans, motors, valves, and control systems; perform welding or other mechanical repairs as needed. Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system performance reports for each client site. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with a solid understanding of construction principles related to HVAC installation and repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), appliance repair, boiler systems, and property maintenance. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately. Familiarity with field service operations including troubleshooting electrical issues using tools like ohmmeters; performing equipment repair; welding; and general maintenance tasks. Knowledge of plumbing systems associated with HVAC setups; experience working with air conditioning units and refrigeration systems is essential. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred. Additional skills such as welding certification, mechanical experience in boiler operation or ammonia refrigeration are advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
