Duties Support HVAC technicians in installing and assembling heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and plumbing systems according to schematics and design plans. Assist with routine maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment such as boilers, air conditioning units, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Help troubleshoot mechanical issues using tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment. Participate in field service activities including appliance repair and equipment troubleshooting at various property sites. Aid in welding or mechanical repairs when necessary to ensure system integrity and safety standards are met. Follow safety protocols during all tasks, including proper handling of refrigerants and ammonia refrigeration components. Maintain detailed records of work performed and assist with inventory management of parts and tools. Skills Basic construction knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans. Prior experience as a service technician or in property maintenance is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, plumbing, refrigeration, boilers, and appliances. Familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) systems including air conditioning units and ammonia refrigeration equipment. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for equipment repair assessments. Experience with welding techniques and general maintenance procedures. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving drivers preferred. Knowledge of field service operations including troubleshooting mechanical issues on-site.
