About the job Company Description Our Client is a privately-owned heavy civil contracting company based in Atlanta, Georgia, serving businesses, government agencies, and the education sector across the state. LCS offers a wide range of commercial construction services, including grading, excavation, utility and drainage construction, paving, and site clean-up. The company also specializes in projects like retention and detention ponds, stream bank restoration, pump stations, and sewer systems. Committed to building strong communities, LCS focuses on delivering quality projects tailored to client needs. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Heavy Civil Superintendent based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. The Heavy Civil Superintendent will oversee day-to-day construction site operations, ensuring project objectives are met on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities include managing construction crews, scheduling and supervising work activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, coordinating with project managers, and maintaining communication with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Qualifications Proficiency in Construction Site Management and ensuring Construction Safety Strong Organization Skills for coordinating teams, workflows, and project resources Experience in Budgeting and maintaining cost-effective project execution Expertise in Project Management to oversee end-to-end project deliverables Effective communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders Familiarity with heavy civil construction processes and industry standards Ability to interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred) Experience in the commercial construction industry is a strong advantage
