Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of Heavy Diesel and Oilfield equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including trucks, Coiled Tubing equipment, Cementing Equipment, Hydraulics , and industrial vehicles. You will be instrumental in ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently, contributing to the success of our operations through expert diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems across various heavy equipment. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and air brake inspections to keep machinery running at peak performance. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring issues, and complex mechanical problems with precision. Fabricate and modify parts using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and industrial equipment safely and efficiently during repairs or testing. Perform assembly and disassembly of machinery components for repair or replacement while adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, incident logs, and ensure all repairs meet quality standards for safety and reliability. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in heavy diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics. Dealership experience or similar background working with Caterpillar equipment or other heavy machinery is highly preferred. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; able to work with schematics for electrical troubleshooting. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment like excavators, cranes, forklifts, or Oilfield machinery is essential. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance including transmissions, air brakes, alignment procedures, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, shocks & struts. Familiarity with automotive repair tools such as hand tools and power tools; capable of performing tire service and wheel balancing. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively with team members and management. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of safety compliance at all times.
