Heavy Duty Mechanic

The Heavy Duty Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of landscaping equipment, including mowers, tractors, skid steers, and other heavy machinery. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain landscaping equipment, including diesel and gasoline-powered machinery. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and reliability. Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, and service schedules. Collaborate with the landscaping team to prioritize equipment availability for projects. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards. Order parts and supplies as needed, maintaining cost-effective inventory management. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or similar role, preferably with landscaping or agricultural equipment. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Familiarity with brands such as John Deere, Caterpillar, or Kubota is a plus. Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to relocate to or commute to Anahola, Kauai. Certification in heavy equipment mechanics or related field is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions. Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and in confined spaces as needed. Why Join The Miranda Group?
