HEAVY EQUIPMENT FIELD MECHANIC

$40-$48/hr | Field‑Based Diesel Work Turn wrenches where they matter most. We're hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to keep loaders, excavators, graders, and haul trucks running strong. This is mostly field work with some shop time — ideal for a self‑starter who knows diesel and hydraulics inside and out. What You'll Be Doing Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatic systems Perform preventative maintenance and full system inspections Rebuild engines, transmissions, fuel, and brake systems Respond to breakdowns in the field and get equipment back to work fast Use diagnostic software, manuals, and schematics Perform welding and basic fabrication on frames, buckets, and components Keep clean, accurate service and parts records Work independently while coordinating with operators and supervisors What We're Looking For 5+ years heavy equipment diesel mechanic experience Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems Experience on loaders, excavators, graders, haul trucks, and similar equipment Comfortable using diesel laptops and diagnostic software Welding and fabrication ability Own professional mechanic tools Valid driving record (MVR check required) John Deere certification preferred Why This Job $40-$48/hr depending on experience Monday-Friday, ~10‑hour days Flexible start time before mid‑morning 80% field work / 20% shop Modern tools, diagnostics, and well‑maintained equipment Independence, steady hours, and challenging work that pays off Apply now — expect a call or text from Chris!
