The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining various types of equipment used in manufacturing, warehouse, and yard operations. This position supports production and shipping activities through the operation of forklifts, skid-steers, tractors, and CDL delivery trucks. The Heavy Equipment Operator ensures materials are transported efficiently while following all company safety policies and procedures. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, skid-steers, tractors, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Load, unload, move, stack, and stage raw materials and finished products. Transport materials between departments, warehouses, and outdoor storage areas. Perform CDL truck deliveries and pickups as assigned. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and equipment. Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately. Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and delivery documentation. Assist with inventory movement and organization of materials. Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulations. Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport. Maintain clean and organized work areas, vehicles, and equipment. Assist production and maintenance teams as needed. Work in indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions. Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements Must be 18 years of age Must be 18 years of age High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid CDL license required (Class A or B, as applicable). Previous experience operating forklifts, skid-steers, tractors, and heavy equipment preferred. Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification. Knowledge of safe loading, unloading, and material handling practices. Ability to read and complete shipping and delivery paperwork. Strong attention to safety and detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic mechanical knowledge preferred.Competitive Benefits:
