Job Description
Fincon is a non union, structural concrete contractor serving the luxury, custom home market in the Bay Area Peninsula. Our employee values focus on safety, job satisfaction, and recognition. As a small company, non union work force, our team is practiced in the crafts of laborer duties, rebar installation, and formwork carpentry. Although this position is a full time position, the Heavy Equipment Operator responsibility is part time and also performs the laborer, rebar, and formwork means and methods. It is required the Heavy Equipment Operator has experience in operating excavators, mini excavators and skid steer loaders. Fincon will train for the laborer, rebar, and carpentry crafts. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment to the optimal performance. All Team Members are responsible to understand the severe impact of safety on the jobsite, within Fincon's Team and resources. All Team Members are considered Competent Personnel and responsible to uphold the highest safety practices; prevent loss of resources and production; stop detrimental behavior or conditions of the Team positive work environment.
Position Requirements:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of verifiable heavy equipment operation experience. Commitment to Learning Training and Motivation Oral and Written Communication Planning, Organization and Follow Through Time Management Resource Management Conflict Awareness, Management, and Resolution Quality Control and Correction Safety Management Labor Law Compliance Dependable Attendance Mobile Device Technology using multiple applications on both Apple and android platforms This is a full-time position that operates at the construction job site in various locations that is weather dependent. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to rough, uneven terrain, hillsides, moving on and off-heavy equipment, high, precarious installation locations, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions including high heat and wet conditions creating risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud. The Heavy Equipment Operator is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Experience operating excavators, mini excavators, skid steer loaders and other construction equipment. Lift and carry without assistance up to 80 pounds.
