Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary Position will be a heavy equipment operator and or heavy equipment mechanic in a limestone rock quarry. The mine is all above ground and employees will be working in all types of weather. All employees will be crossed trained to learn production and operating heavy equipment. The primary position may change based on production and maintenance needs. This will be mainly an outdoor position and weather related. There will be some math problem solving involved along with contiguous safety with all heavy equipment. This position will require good time management skill, good attendance, customer service skills and the possibility of working at multiple mine sites. This is a drug free-work environment and all employees are subject to random drug testing. Responsibilities Daily work place pre-shift checks- must be preformed on all mobile equipment daily. Operate assigned machines in a safe manner as it applies to oneself and fellow co-workers. Operating machines in an efficient and productive manner. Communicate with onsite foreman on daily work requirements. Follow designated routes adhering to safety policies and procedures. Knowledge and following of all MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) regulations, training, practices, first aid and all safety requirements. Keeping work area and mine site Neat Clean and Organized Self motivated Willingness to learn other area of the mining operations and or mechanic maintenance Experience Minimum of two years' experience with one or more of the following pieces of equipment: Front End Loader, Excavator, Haul Truck (Rock Truck), or Crushing Plant experience is preferred. Willing to train the right candidate Trouble shooting skills Use of technology Understanding of mechanical maintenance Read and understand both English and Metric measurements Class E driver license
