Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator (Excavator - Utility Focus) We are looking for a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with extensive excavator experience to join our team. This position is ideal for a seasoned operator who takes pride in safe, efficient, and precise work, especially in utility environments.

Full-time What You'll Be Doing:

Operating excavators for underground utility installation (water, sewer, storm, electrical, etc.) Trenching around existing utilities with a strong focus on safety and accuracy Working closely with foremen and pipelayers to maintain grade and production goals Loading trucks, backfilling, and fine grading as needed Assisting with site prep, cut/fill, and other earthwork tasks Performing daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance

What We're Looking For:

5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience Strong excavator experience in utility work (tight spaces, around live utilities, trench work) Mass earthwork/site development experience is a strong plus (cut/fill, slopes, rough and fine grading) Ability to read plans, understand grades, and work with lasers/GPS is a plus Proven track record of working safely and productively in a team environment Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
