Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery and commercial trucks to support construction projects, ensuring efficient, safe, and precise execution of tasks. Your expertise will help drive project success from excavation to paving, contributing to the development of infrastructure and commercial sites. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, hydro excavation trucks, tankers with precision and safety in mind. Drive commercial trucks including dump trucks, tankers, lowboys and other service vehicles to transport materials and equipment from our yard to the construction site. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, backfilling, and material hauling to support various phases of construction projects. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working on construction sites to prevent accidents and injuries. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines efficiently. Maintain accurate logs of equipment operation hours, maintenance activities, and transportation records. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, hydro excavation units, and tankers. Lowboy experience/heavy haul required. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL class A) with a clean driving record for truck driving responsibilities. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment systems for troubleshooting and minor repairs. Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures. Ability to operate multiple types of heavy machinery safely in various weather conditions. Knowledge of construction materials handling and transportation regulations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Join us in building the future!
